AROMATHERAPY: the practical use of the essential oils of plants
I throw these tiny PosyPot Aromatherapy necklaces on my pottery wheel in the back garden, fire them myself, and tie them up with silk and gemstones. I like to wear them to the most anxiety provoking destinations: office visits, airplanes, crowded events, anywhere I will be waiting in lines, etc. The small hole limits oxidation and keeps the scent privately in the vicinity of the wearer and fresh well past the length of the day.
APITHERAPY: healing from the hive
My hives are all non-traditional, and treatment-free. This means the honeybees have enough space and resources to manage their health on their own. There is no need for chemical or even natural treatments. They solve their own problems immediately using the nectar, resin, pollens, and essential oils of the surrounding flora. In turn I use their honey, propolis, pollen and wax to effect the health of my family.

Wild Honeybees?
I catch honeybees instead of purchasing them. They are wild and free, but technically only feral, and they don’t fare too well in the homes they find out there. I provide them small bait hives that are just what their scouts are out looking for. They return to the swarm and do the waggle dance to tell others of the exact location. Once they’re fully moved in, I move them to a local farm and weeks later into a larger hive where I interfere so little I’m sure they still think themselves wild!
